Kevin found the public library and got each of us a card. The first day we each checked out 2 books. We red them and went back the next day to get more. The children's area was very disappointing. No carpet or rugs, no cozy chairs or places to curl up and read together, but there are books and I guess that is what is important. Lilly likes to stand on the wondow seat and look down on the street below.
Serena read and recommends " A Coal Miner's Bride" by Susan Campbell Bartoletti. It is about a young girl, 13 I believe, who is sent from Poland to America to marry a coal miner. His wife had died and he has 3 children. Very good book. Katie enjoyed "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and read it in one night. Abby likes the "I Spy" books and Lilly got 3 board books. The library is on 115th Street.
