The Pets

Alyss and Nilla. Aftertelling you about our adventures with dogs ain the city. I hav eto give you an update. Serena had become a master dog poop catcher. Nilla has had diarhhea since we arrived, due to stress perhaps, she is still eating food we brought from Carbondale. Anyway, it is a horrible mess to clean up. Serena only walks the dogs in the street now, so no messes on the sidewalk, but the best part is the ingenious idea to lay the bag on the ground when she starts to squat. She goes on the bag and I can just gather it up and tie it. It never touches the street! She still wears a diaper from the apartment to the street and, after her walk, back from the street to the apartment.

Lilly and Daniel

Madeline. All the cats love playing in this tent. They stretch out and sleep in it and chase each other around it. Madeline will poke her foot out under it and grab at the other cats or us as we walk by.

I tried to get a video of them playing but of course they wouldn't cooperate and just all laid down until I left.

Daniel has been tryingto escape. He got out the other day and took off down the hall as fast as he could. He has never been out before so he slowed down once he went around the corner and I was able to grab him. Good thing he didn't head down the stairs. Our neighbor said she was thinking about taking her cat out on a leash since he seemed so miserable indoors. Ours seem to be adjusting well. Madeline especially likes to sit in the window but thet all do it. They sleep and play. Play really well together actually. Madeline loves to chase things around the house, plastic Easter eggs especially. Lilly likes to carry the eggs around in a basket even though it isn't Easter. The cat can carry 1/2 an egg in her mouth and steals them to play with.
