Bird Watching in Central Park

Katie attended the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts: Girl
Scouts Celebrate Biodiversity event. "Taking action to protect bird habitats at home and abroad" The event was held at Central Park. She attended with 3 or 4 other girls from her troop. There were about 30 girls there total, ages 11-15 years old. They learned about bird wildlife within Central Park and about biodiversity worldwide. She earned a certificate for participating. Below are pictures of the birds that she saw in Central Park. She received many bird guide books and cut out the pictures from one and hung them in her room.
