Red Hawk Dancers

Today Abby's class was supposed to go on a field trip to see the Red Hawk Dancers.

The kids rode on a school bus to Aaron Davis Hall (West 135th and Convent Avenue). She wouldn't tell me much about it. There was a woman with her band and they sang songs. She was disappointed that they didn't get to see any dancers.
Abby and her friends think they must have gone to the wrong show. There was a teacher in front of her who kept videotaping and taking pictures. Before the show she saw the person who said not to take any pictures. The singer called children to come up and dance. My favorite song was called, "Bully Bully." It was about a kid who came to a school and she was from a different town and this boy in that school bullied her and then a different girl said, " Back off!" and then we sang "Bully Bully Bully Bully and other words that I can't remember."

In dance class Abby has been learning about Native American dances.
