We have been gathering boxes again anticipating a move this month. Tiger wanted to make sure we didn't forget her.
Lilly fell asleep on the walk home from church. We laid the buggy back and unwrapped her some and let her finish her nap. She looks like a china doll.
This was the dress she wore today. I am pretty sure it was handed down from Kierra and made by the same lady that made my wedding dress.

Fanney went to church with us again this morning. She has been coming pretty regularly and Abby enjoys her company. Today was the 2nd play practise and so Fanney got to help fill in for the kids who were absent. (She is going home to Iceland for the holidays and won't be in town for the play.)
The childrens message was given by Takako. She asked if any of the children knew what repent meant. Two guessed but didn't know. She had everyone stand up and turn around. She said repent means to turn around. John the Baptist came first to tell people to repent, to turn aroudn and face God again.
There was a guest minister (the Interim Executive Presbyter of NYC) and I didn't care for his sermon. Krystin has me spoiled because she does such a phenomenal job. He cussed (those sons of b******) early in his sermon which didn't sit well with some of the congregation. He said Mary laid Jesus in the manger because she was to weak? to scared? to disgusted? to hold him. It is interesting because recently I had commented to Mom that Jesus probably didn't spend much actual time in the manger because he would have been nursing from Mary or being bounced to sleep by Joseph. He also said the lion and calf may lie down together but the calf won't get much sleep.
The church was excited to have him as a guest and had a special refreshment time in his honor. I just didn't care for his preaching.
At the end of the sermon he spoke directly about our church and there 3 year hunt for a permanent pastor. We pray for the PNC almost every Sunday. He said Advent is a time to wait, pray, hope, pause to listen to the voice of God. He said do not be afraid to hope, pray, and listen. Be strong and loving and fearless.
It was disappointing since last Sunday I missed Candace preaching, who I really was interested in listening to, because I was in the nursery with Lilly and this Sunday we had a guest and Lilly went right to the nursery with no problem and I was there for the message.
