This book was neat because it is written about a child who lives in a New York City apartment. The pictures could easily be identified with by a city child. The rows of locks on the front door, the peeling paint and wallpaper on the walls. The key to get into the buiding, the janitor in the building, the street parking issues, the broken elevator, and long climb up the stairs. The pictures I put on show the view from his apartment looking down on the street at Santa. He told Santa in his letter to be careful parking or he would get a ticket. You notice he parked in front of a hydrant, from experience that would be because every other space is taken from blocks around.
