Breast Cancer Walk

We had to meet the troop leader at 6:15 am at the church. The group would take the subway from there to Central Park. Lilly and the dogs of course woke up with me at 5, so I hadto take the dogs for a walk and then take Lilly with me to take Katie. Yesterday there were many groups walked in the city to raise money for breast cancer. Some young women wore all black and then had very fancy decorated bras on top of their tight fitting black shirts. Lilly is holding one the hot pink feathers that was used as decoration.

Katie got this cool T-shirt for helping at the walk. Makes her look and feel really important to be identified as a volunteer.

She got this pink bag full of goodies as well.

This is the group of girls helping. They filled bags with food and drinks to hand out to participants in the walk. Katie said they filled about 1, 800 bags.
